Charles Garner, President, and Frank Garrison, CEO, highlighted the huge potential for marina developments on the region’s waterfront areas.
In partnership with Nakheel, Dubai Maritime City, and Dubai Festival City , IGY’s Dubai operation is spearheading the design, delivery and on-going management of these developments.
Frank Garrison, CEO, IGY says, “We brought those who will ultimately orchestrate the development of Dubai’s coastline under one roof primarily to celebrate the success of our ongoing work together, to discuss progress on our current projects and the vast potential of new ones”.
Final design and sign-off is already underway for the first mega yacht marina in the region to be situated on the west side of the trunk of The Palm Jumeirah. This marina will accommodate yachts up to 100 meters in length. Also, due to open later in the year is the Anchor Marina at the top of The Palm Jumeirah trunk which will accommodate a total of 582 boats.
“These are just two of IGY’s very ambitious projects that are beginning to position the region on the world’s yachting map, alongside the Caribbean and the Mediterranean,” says Charles Garner, President, IGY.
Saeed Harib Director of Nakheel Marinas also attending the reception says “Nakheel is an international brand and we choose to work with likeminded partners who can add value to our projects, like IGY. IGY is providing world-class marinas for our waterfront developments, and in the near future we anticipate that there will be more projects for Nakheel Marinas to develop in partnership with IGY.
Frank Garrison continues, “The successful sales performance of the first phase release of Anchor Marina emphasized to our partners and us that there is a very significant market for these facilities within the region’s local waters. IGY aim to build on this success and, in particular, further satisfy the demand for luxury berthing facilities across the GCC and beyond.
“The key to building world-class coastline is ensuring that the whole development works as one. Onshore and offshore facilities, food and beverage provisions, as well as commercial and residential aspects need to be completely in sync with high class berthing facilities.
“Partnering with those with similar foresight and imagination to IGY, means that some of the world’s most ambitious waterfront developments are coming to fruition along the UAE coast,” he concludes.
